Hello friends! What are your plans for this lovely weekend? This is the first weekend in 4 months that I don’t have homework! The semester finished on Wednesday - My professor skimmed over my research paper and told me I got an A in the class, so needless to say I’m feeling pretty weightless at the moment. PLUS, I’m really excited to be taking pictures tomorrow at CrossFit Redondo for their CrossFit for Hope fundraiser. I’ll post them next week. Anyway, have a great weekend and here are some posts from around the web . . . . . . .

Hey guys! This weekend I’ll be at CrossFit Redondo taking photos of their CrossFit for Hope fundraiser. If you aren’t already participating at another local box, now’s your chance to change your plans for Saturday morning (10am) and come support a group of people WODing for a wonderful cause. Plus, I’d love to meet you! CrossFit for Hope will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The goal is to raise 1.7MM – one day’s operating cost for St. Jude – to combat childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Please help CrossFit Redondo reach their goal of $5K by Saturday! You can donate here.

The Workout:

“Hope”

Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24″ box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

Happy Friday guys! What are your plans for the weekend? I’m doggy / house sitting for my friends in Santa Monica. They have a rooftop patio, so you know I’ll be up there soaking up some sun. But before I indulge in pleasure, I have to finish fine-tuning my research paper that’s due Wednesday. If I get an A on it, I will continue with my 4.0 GPA. Note: This is the 1st semester in my college career that I didn’t have a total meltdown writing essays. I’m pretty proud of that, and I think I owe it to CrossFit! Anyway, I hope you all have a stellar weekend, and here are some posts from around the web . . . . . .
