CrossFit for Hope in Photos

15 Jun

CrossFit Redondo was kind enough to let me stop by and shoot their CrossFit for Hope fundraiser last weekend. They were able to raise $6,782, which is huge for a brand-spaking-new affiliate. They’re in the top 50 affiliates who raised money, ranking at number 34. I know I linked my readers to their donation page, so if you did in fact donate, I wanted to say thank you so, so, so much! Once again, the CrossFit community and its unwaivering support for causes bigger than itself never ceases to impress and humble me. Congratulations to CrossFit Redondo for a job well done!

Barbells For Boobs: Mammograms In Action

20 Oct

I’ll be participating in “Grace” at CrossFit 310 this weekend (Saturday, October 22nd)
and would be absolutely thrilled if you supported me and my CrossFit family by donating
to this cause. To donate, go to the link below and click on the pink “DONATE NOW” button
to the right of the screen. Enter the amount you wish to donate and make sure to include
“CrossFit 310″ in the comment portion of the donation page so the money is put towards
our fundraising goal. Also, feel free to come over to the box and support us by watching
us & cheering us on. We’ll be there from 9am – 11am. Thank you for your support!

What Is CrossFit?

27 Sep

This is just a tiny glimpse into what CrossFit means to some of the people doing it. To try & explain it as a whole would take a very long time as it’s an onion, filled with layer upon layer upon layer. It means so many different things to so many different people, but collectively, we love it the same.

The September issue of WOD Talk Magazine (an online magazine) came out yesterday and one of my articles (“10 Ways To Be A Better Crossfitter – Newbie Edition”) was featured! This is so exciting for me not only because I love writing but also because it brings attention to my box, CrossFit 310 which became my second home the moment I walked through their door and the entire reason I even came to write that article. Thank you to Coach Kris & my entire CrossFit 310 family for constantly inspiring me on a daily basis to write about what we live, eat, sleep and breathe for: CrossFit.
